This home red air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Jarome Iginla during the 2005-06 NHL regular season and Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Dallas Stars selected Iginla in the 1st round of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. Prior to ever suiting up for the Stars, the Calgary Flames dealt Joe Nieuwendyk to Dallas in exchange for the young talent. Iginla made his NHL debut with Calgary during the 1996 playoffs. It was his first of 17 seasons wearing the Flames colors, a place where he sported the “C” for 9 seasons and established numerous franchise records. He then moved on to represent the Penguins, Bruins, Avalanche and Kings before retiring after 21 NHL seasons. During that time, this talented winger scored 625 goals and added 675 assists for 1300 points. Iginla twice led the NHL in goals, winning the Rocket Richard Trophy in 2001-02 and 2003-04. He was also the NHL’s leading scorer and outstanding player in 2001-02 and thus was awarded the Art Ross Trophy and the Ted Lindsay Award. Jarome was four times a 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star who played in 6 NHL All Star Games. On the international stage, Iginla represented Team Canada in the World Championships, the 2004 World Cup of Hockey and three Olympics.
Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the Captain’s “C”. Sewn to the right breast is the Calgary Flames 25-year anniversary patch. The game wear on this 3rd set size 58 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, a good many board burns, board paint transfer, stitch pops and inner pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Iginla wearing this exact jersey during the 2005-06 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. A tremendous photo matched offering complete with the Flames 25-year anniversary patch and the coveted letter of honor, choice!
