Description
2005-06 Chris Pronger Edmonton Oilers Game Worn Jersey
Lot #112
This blue air-knit gamer by Reebok and Elite Sportswear was worn by Chris Pronger during the 2005-06 NHL season. Pronger is in the midst of a Hall of Fame career that began in 1993 when Hartford made him the 2nd overall selection in the NHL Entry Draft that year. Chris spent 2 seasons on the Whalers blueline before a blockbuster deal sent him to St. Louis in exchange for Brendan Shanahan. Chris spent 9 seasons honing his craft in St. Louis before joining Edmonton for a year. He next spent 3 seasons with Anaheim and most recently can be found delivering bone crunching hits for the Philadelphia Flyers.

Pronger’s additions to Edmonton, Anaheim and Philadelphia all saw his teams make it to the Stanley Cup Finals in his first year of service in his new digs, quite a statement. It would then come as no surprise that Pronger has won the Norris Trophy as the NHL’s best defenseman, the Hart Trophy as the NHL’s Most Valuable Player along with a couple of plus/minus awards and a Stanley Cup. Chris is a 4-time 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star and has played in a handful of NHL All Star games. No stranger to the international stage, Pronger has represented Team Canada in 4 different Olympics!

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The sleeves on this jersey have been custom shortened. The game wear on this 2nd set size 58 sweater consists of stick marks, board burns, pilling and a handful of team-sewn repairs. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. Sewn alongside is the official Edmonton Oilers game worn jersey and set tagging. A terrific example that was worn by this future Hall of Famer during his only year in an Oilers uniform, as he led his new team all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals.
