This red air-knit gamer by Nike was worn by Scott Niedermayer during the 2004 World Cup of Hockey. The New Jersey Devils selected Niedermayer with the 3rd overall pick in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. Niedermayer retired in 2010 following an 18-year Hall of Fame NHL career that saw him win four Stanley Cups and two Olympic Gold Medals. Scott spent his first 13 years in New Jersey, where he won three of his four Stanley Cups. He captured his fourth and final Stanley Cup in 2007 with the Anaheim Ducks where he spent the last five years of his career. Scott was four times a 1st or 2nd team NHL All Star and played in five NHL All Star games. He captured the 2007 Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP in Anaheim and won the 2004 Norris Trophy as the NHL’s best defenseman in his last season in New Jersey. In 1263 games, Niedermayer netted 172 goals and 740 points. On the international stage, Niedermayer represented Team Canada in the World Championships, two World Cups of Hockey and two Olympics. A well-deserved spot in the Hockey Hall of Fame was bestowed upon this classy defenseman.
