This road black air-knit gamer by Nike was worn by Olaf Kolzig during the 2004 World Cup of Hockey. The Washington Capitals selected Kolzig in the 1st round of the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. Olaf would go on to become the most successful goalie in Capitals history, backstopping the club for 16 seasons and winning better than 300 games during his career. “Olie The Goalie” led the Caps to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time in their history in 1998. He captured the Vezina Trophy as the leagues best goaltender in 2000 and the King Clancy Memorial Trophy in 2006. This two-time NHL All Star Game participant was also named 1st Team NHL All Star in 2000. On the international scene, Kolzig represented Germany in numerous World Championships, 2 World Cups of Hockey and 2 Olympics.
