2004 Manny Ramirez Red Sox Game Worn Jersey - World Series Season
Lot #164

This home Red Sox jersey by Russell Athletic was game worn by Manny Ramirez in 2004 while helping to lead the Red Sox to their first World Championship in 86 years. Ramirez is one of only 24 major leaguers in history to hit 500 or more homeruns. With many years left in his career, Manny finished this season with 527. He has the most grand slams of any active player and is second to only Lou Gehrig in baseball history. Manny has played in 12 All Star games and has hit the most post season homeruns in history with 26.

2004 was a magic year for the Red Sox and for Manny. In 2004 he led the American League in homeruns, slugging percentage and on base + slugging. He was third in the league in RBI and batted .308. Manny and David Ortiz became the first teammates to each hit 40 homeruns, have 100 RBI and bat .300 since Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig in 1931. To put the icing on the cake, Ramirez was named the MVP of the World Series as the Red Sox broke "the curse" and captured their first title since 1918.

This white jersey has the Russell Athletic, year and size tags in the hem. The jersey was acquired by our consignor from Manny and a letter from our consignor and a photo of Manny with our consignor will accompany your purchase.
