2004-05 Darius Kasparaitis Ak Bars Kazan Game Worn Jersey
Lot #326
This green air-knit gamer by Lutch was worn by Darius Kasparaitis during the 2004-05 season. The New York Islanders selected Kasparaitis with the 5th overall pick in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft. Darius began his career on Long Island in 1992-93 where he and the Islanders made a strong playoff push during which time they defeated the 2-time defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins en route to the Semi Finals. Darius quickly became a fan favorite, possessing a nasty edge to his game and getting known as one of the league’s most gifted agitators. In 863 NHL games, he amassed 1379 well earned PIMS. Following his time on the Island, he served with the Penguins for 6 seasons, then with the Avalanche and finally the Rangers for 4 years. He represented Russia in the 1996 World Cup of Hockey and the Olympic games.

The game wear on this size 58 sweater consists of stick marks, board burns and inner pilling. Darius wore this gamer during the 2004-05 lockout shortened season.
