2004-05 Dany Heatley Ak Bars Kazan Game Worn Jersey
Lot #420

This green air-knit gamer by Lutch was worn by Dany Heatley during the 2004-05 season. The Atlanta Thrashers selected Heatley with the 2nd overall pick in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. He joined the club after only 2 seasons at the University of Wisconsin and made an immediate impact, winning the Calder Trophy as Rookie of the Year. Dany joined the NHL elite during his sophomore season as he rung up 41 goals and 89 points. Prior to the 2003-04 season, Heatley was involved in a devastating car accident which claimed the life of his teammate Dan Snyder. Dany suffered a serious knee injury in the crash and after months of rehabilitation returned to the ice to partake in 31 games.

Heatley was then dealt to the Ottawa Senators where he posted back-to-back 50-goal seasons in his first 2 years with the club. After 4 seasons in Ottawa, Dany joined the San Jose Sharks where he put up 39 goals and 82 points in his first season with the club, playing in all 82 games. After another season with the Sharks, Dany joined the Minnesota Wild prior to the 2011-12 season and he spent 3 years with the club prior to joining the Anaheim Ducks and then venturing to Europe. Heatley recorded 372 career goals and 791 career points during his 869-game NHL career. Dany was a 1st and 2nd team NHL All Star and played in 3 NHL All Star games, numerous World Championships, the World Cup of Hockey and in the Olympics twice.

The game wear on this size 56 sweater is on the lighter side and was one of several jerseys that Dany wore while skating for Ak Bars Kazan during the 2004-05 lockout.
