He spent another season with the Penguins before joining the Atlanta Thrashers for four years and then transferring with the club to Winnipeg where he spent 6 seasons. Thorburn finished up his 14-year NHL career with a couple of seasons in St. Louis. In 801 games played, Thorburn accumulated 968 PIMS during his NHL career.
