This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Oleg Saprykin during the 2003-04 NHL season. The Calgary Flames selected Saprykin in the 1st round of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. This Moscow native began his NHL career with the Flames in 1999-00 and spent 5 seasons playing in Calgary. Oleg next spent a couple of years playing for Phoenix and was traded at the ‘07 deadline to the Ottawa Senators, his final NHL stop. Since leaving the NHL, Oleg has been playing in the KHL in his native Russia.
The game wear on this 2nd set size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, inner pilling and a mass of team-sewn repair work to the left shoulder. Shown above are a couple of beautiful photo matches of Saprykin wearing this exact jersey during the 2003-04 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging.
