2003-04 Michael Ryder Montreal Canadiens Game Worn Jersey - Rookie - Vintage - NHL Letter
Lot #368

This white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Michael Ryder during the 2003-04 NHL season, his rookie year. Ryder was drafted by the Canadiens in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. After a breakthrough year with the Hamilton Bulldogs in 2002-03, Ryder broke the Canadians lineup in 2003-04 and earned all-rookie honors with a 25 goal, 63-point performance. Michael followed up that rookie year with back-to-back 30 goal seasons for Les Habitants. After 4 seasons with Montreal, Ryder joined the Boston Bruins in the summer of 2008 and has been there for the past 3 years.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the Vintage NHL patch. The Canadiens wore these vintage jerseys 5 times during the 2003-04 season as the NHL reached back into its past. Montreal styled their white vintage gamers after their 1945-46 game jerseys. Ryder wore this sweater on November 25th 2003 against Vancouver, December 16th 2003 against Boston, January 17th 2004 against the New York Rangers, February 1st 2004 against the Chicago Blackhawks and February 26th 2004 at Boston. The game wear on this sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. This jersey will be accompanied by an NHL letter.
