2003-04 Eric Cairns New York Islanders Game Worn Jersey Alternate Photo Match Team Letter
Lot #122
This orange alternate air-knit gamer by Koho was worn by Eric Cairns during the 2003-04 NHL season. The New York Rangers selected Cairns in the 3rd round of the 1992 NHL Entry Draft. This Oakville native made his NHL debut in 1996-97 with the Rangers where he played for two seasons prior to joining the cross-town rival New York Islanders for a 6-year run. After leaving the Islanders in 2004, Cairns spent time with the Panthers and Penguins before retiring. This 6’ 5” enforcer partook in 457 NHL games and tabbed 1182 PIMS.

The game wear on this 2nd set size 58 alternate consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, inner pilling and a team-sewn repair. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Cairns wearing this exact jersey during the 2003-04 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. Sewn alongside is the official New York Islanders game worn jersey and set tagging. Cairns registered 189 PIMS while wearing this photo matched sweater during his last season with the Islanders. This jersey will be accompanied by a Islanders team letter.
