2003-04 Darryl Sydor Columbus Blue Jackets Game Worn Jersey
Lot #149

This home blue air-knit gamer by Koho was worn by Darryl Sydor during the 2003-04 NHL season. The Los Angeles Kings selected Sydor with the 7th overall pick in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. Sydor made his NHL debut in 1991-92 with the Kings where he played for five seasons. Sydor went on to suit up for the Dallas Stars for 10 years and also represented the Columbus Blue Jackets, Tampa Bay Lightning, Pittsburgh Penguins and St. Louis Blues. All told this defenseman played in 1291 regular season games over the course of 18 NHL seasons. Sydor also enjoyed a prosperous post-season career. He won Stanley Cups with the Dallas Stars in 1999 and the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2004 while finishing runner up with the 1993 Los Angeles Kings and the 2000 Dallas Stars.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this 2nd set size 54 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, fine inner pilling and no less than 20 team-sewn repairs. Affixed to the inside hem is the official Columbus Blue Jackets game worn jersey and set tagging. Sewn alongside is the AS/RS patch. A well-worn example, complete with the coveted letter of honor hailing from Sydor’s brief 49-game stint with the Columbus Blue Jackets prior to his 2004 trade to Tampa Bay that led to his second Stanley Cup.
