Hartsburg, the son of former Minnesota North Stars Captain Craig Hartsburg, was a 7th round draft pick by the New Jersey Devils in the 1999 NHL draft. Following 4 seasons in Colorado of the NCAA, Chris joined the Devils affiliate Albany where he played for a couple of years. His last and final stint came with the Colorado Eagles in the CHL where Chris spent the final 4 seasons of his career.
