2003-04 Bryan Smolinski Ottawa Senators Game Worn Jersey – “Roger” - Photo Match – Team Letter
Lot #124

This road white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Bryan Smolinski during the 2003-04 NHL season. The Boston Bruins selected Smolinski in the 1st round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. After graduating from Michigan State University, this Toledo native began his NHL career in 1992-93 with the Bruins where he played for 3 seasons. Over the course of his 15-year NHL career, “Smoke” represented the Bruins, Penguins, Islanders, Kings, Senators, Blackhawks, Canucks and Canadiens. Bryan, a 30-goal scorer, played in 1056 games and netted 274 goals and 651 points. Smolinski also represented Team USA in the 1996 and 2004 World Cups of Hockey and several World Championships.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the “Roger” patch to commemorate the passing of coach Roger Nielsen. The game wear on this 2nd set size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, inner pilling and some terrific team-sewn repair work on the front, back and both sleeves. Shown above are a couple of beautiful photo matches of Smolinski wearing this exact jersey during the 2003-04 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. A well-worn patched and photo matched example. This jersey will be accompanied by a Senators team letter.
