This black alternate air-knit gamer by Koho was worn by Alexei Smirnov during the 2003-04 NHL season. The Anaheim Mighty Ducks selected Smirnov in the 1st round of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. After spending a few seasons playing in his native Russia, Smirnov made his NHL debut in 2002-03 with the Mighty Ducks with whom he played for a couple of seasons. Alexei returned to Russia during the 2005-06 lockout and spent most of the remainder of his career playing in his native country, eventually retiring in 2011.

The Mighty Ducks wore this set of alternates during the October 19, 2003 game against the Boston Bruins. These jerseys were then autographed by the players and auctioned to benefit the families who fell victim to the California Wildfires. The game wear on this size 56 sweater is light as would be expected. Smirnov has penned a beautiful black sharpie signature on the back player number. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging.
