This blue air-knit gamer by Koho was worn by Alexei Kovalev during the 2003-04 NHL pre-season. The New York Rangers selected Kovalev in the 1st round of the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. After spending three seasons in his native Russia, Kovalev began his NHL career in New York with the Rangers in 1992-93. Alexei was an integral member of the Rangers Stanley Cup winning team the following season, the team’s first since 1940. All told Alexei would spend his first 7 seasons with the Rangers before a trade sent him to Pittsburgh during the 1998-99 campaign. Kovalev’s career really took off after his arrival in Pittsburgh. In 2000-01 he set career highs with 44 goals and 95 points. He followed that up with a strong 32 goals in 67 games during the 2001-02 season. With 18 NHL seasons in the books, Kovalev amassed an impressive 430 goals and 1029 career points.
