2002 Luc Robitaille Detroit Red Wings Practice Worn Jersey
Lot #244
This Detroit Red Wings practice jersey entered the hobby directly from Luc Robitaille’s personal collection of Detroit Red Wings memorabilia. This black knit practice jersey was worn by Luc Robitaille during the 2002 NHL season. Robitaille will go down as one of the greatest lower round selections in the history of the NHL entry draft. He was a 9th round pick in the 1984 NHL entry draft by the LA Kings where he played for 14 of his 19 NHL seasons.

Robitaille compiled incredible career statistics. He retired with 668 career goals, in excess of 725 assists and nearly 1400 points. The goal and point totals are good respectively for top 10 and top 20 all-time in the history of the sport. Luc played in 7 NHL All Star games and was voted a 1st or 2nd team NHL All Star 7 times. Also to his credit is the Calder Trophy for rookie of the year in 1987. Robitaille finally captured the trophy that had eluded him to that point, the Stanley Cup, as a member of the Red Wings in 2001-02. With a 19-year career now in the books, Luc is the most prolific scoring Left Wing in the history of the NHL, and a most deserving Hall of Famer.

Obvious use can be found on this size 56 Center Ice practice jersey that includes stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, a well-salted fight strap and inner pilling. A beautiful black sharpie autograph can be found in Luc’s own hand on the front crest. A nice autographed practice jersey that hailed from the personal collection of this Hall of Fame winger.
