2002 Keith Primeau Team Canada Olympics Training Camp Jersey
Lot #307

This red air-knit and mesh combo by Nike was worn by Keith Primeau during the 2002 Team Canada Olympic Training Camp. The Detroit Red Wings selected Primeau with the 3rd overall pick in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. This hulking center began his NHL career in Detroit during the 1990-91 season. He remained a Red Wings for 6 seasons before joining the Hartford Whalers and transferring to the Carolina Hurricanes for 3 seasons in total. Keith’s last NHL stop was with the Philadelphia Flyers where he assumed the role of team Captain and played for 6 seasons until concussions took their toll and prematurely ended his career. Primeau rang up several 30-Goal seasons, played in a couple of NHL All Star games and amassed 1541 PIMS in 909 games played, earning true power forward status.

Sewn to the back of this sweater is the “Respect” patch. The wear on this size 58 Nike jersey is on the lighter side. A beautiful black sharpie signature in Primeau’s own hand can be found on the upper verso. Keith’s surname and number are sewn to the verso while the red, black and green Team Canada crest is sewn proudly to the chest. A nice international offering donned by this NHL All Star as he competed for a spot on the 2002 Team Canada Olympic Team.
