This road red air-knit gamer by Koho was worn by Luc Robitaille during the 2002-03 NHL season. The Los Angeles Kings selected Robitaille in the 9th round of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft. Robitaille will go down as one of the greatest lower round selections in the history of the NHL. This Montreal native made his NHL debut in 1986-87 with LA and played 14 seasons as a member of the Kings. He also represented the Penguins, Rangers and Red Wings over the course of his 19-year NHL career.
Robitaille compiled incredible career statistics. He retired with 668 career goals, 726 assists and 1394 points. The goal and point totals are good respectively for top 10 and top 20 all-time in the history of the sport. Luc played in 7 NHL All Star Games and was voted a 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star 8 different times. Also to his credit is the Calder Trophy for NHL Rookie of the Year in 1987. Robitaille finally captured the trophy that had eluded him throughout his career, the Stanley Cup, which he won as a member of the Detroit Red Wings in 2001-02. With a 19-year career in the books, Luc is the most prolific scoring Left Wing in the history of the NHL, and a most deserving member of the Hall of Fame.
The game wear on this 2nd set size 54 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and nice inner pilling. Affixed to the inside hem is the official Detroit Red Wings game worn jersey and set tagging. A nice offering worn by this Hall of Famer during his final year with the Red Wings. This jersey will be accompanied by a Red Wings team letter.
