2002-03 Jason Wiemer New York Islanders Pre-Season Game Worn Jersey - Photo Match - Team Letter
Lot #105
This blue air-knit gamer by Koho was worn by Jason Wiemer during the 2002-03 NHL preseason. The Tampa Bay Lightning selected Wiemer in the 1st round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. This Kimberley, BC native made his NHL debut in 1994-95 with the Lightning where he played for four seasons. Jason went on to represent the Calgary Flames, Florida Panthers, New York Islanders, Minnesota Wild and New Jersey Devils before retiring following 11 NHL seasons. This noted tough guy accumulated an impressive 1420 PIMS in 726 games played.

The game wear on this preseason set size 58 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Wiemar wearing this exact jersey during the 2002-03 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. Sewn alongside is the official New York Islanders game worn jersey and set tagging. A nice photo matched offering that was worn by this pugilist at the outset of his time with the Islanders. This jersey will be accompanied by an Islanders team letter.
