McLennan began his NHL career with the Islanders in 1993-94 and spent 3 seasons with the club before moving on to play for the St. Louis Blues, the Minnesota Wild, the Calgary Flames, the New York Rangers and the Florida Panthers. This Goalie announced his retirement following the 2006-07 NHL season. McLennan was the recipient of the Bill Masterton Trophy in 1997-98 during his first season in St. Louis.
