Description
2002-03 Brad May Phoenix Coyotes Game Worn Jersey Alternate Team Letter
Lot #135

This green alternate air-knit gamer by Koho was worn by Brad May during the 2002-03 NHL season. The Buffalo Sabres selected May in the 1st round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. This enforcer first laced up for the Sabres in 1991-92 and he spent the first 7 years of his 18-year NHL career wearing the Sabres colors. Brad would go on to play for the Canucks, Coyotes, Avalanche, Ducks, Leafs and Wings before calling it a career following the 2009-10 season. In 1041 games played, May amassed 2248 PIMS with his single season career high total of 309 coming in his rookie year.

The game wear on this size 58 alternate is on the lighter side as would be expected with some stick marks, material pulls, inner pilling and nice exterior sleeve pilling from the cuffs of May’s gloves most worthy of mention. After missing the majority of the regular season due to an injury suffered against the Red Wings during pre-season, May wore this alternate sparingly upon his return to the ice in the 2nd half. A nice desert alternate from Brad’s last season in Phoenix that saw him play in 20 games for the Coyotes prior to being dealt over to Vancouver on March 11th 2003. This jersey will be accompanied by a Coyotes team letter.
