2002-03 Adam Sturgeon Saginaw Spirit Game Worn Jersey - Inaugural Season
Lot #288

This white knit gamer by Nike was worn by Adam Sturgeon during the 2002-03 OHL season, the inaugural year of the Saginaw Spirit. This Erin, Ontario native played four seasons of junior hockey in the OHL where he represented the Sudbury Wolves, Belleville Bulls, Mississauga IceDogs and Saginaw Spirit. He went on to play two seasons with the UHL’s Flint Generals before hanging up the skates.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, fight abuse with a torn and stitch popped front collar and inner pilling. This tough guy racked up 136 PIMS in 62 games of play after arriving in Saginaw from Mississauga. A well-worn example complete with the coveted letter of honor and hailing from the inaugural season of the Saginaw Spirit.
