Description
2001-02 Stu Barnes Buffalo Sabres Game Worn Jersey
Lot #193
This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Stu Barnes during the 2001-02 NHL season. The Winnipeg Jets selected Barnes with the 4th overall pick in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. After spending parts of 3 seasons in Winnipeg, Barnes joined the Florida Panthers and played in the Sunshine State for parts of 4 seasons before becoming a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1996-97. After parts of 3 years with the Pens, Barnes spent a handful of seasons with the Sabres where he became their team Captain and completed his career with the Dallas Stars where he played for 5 more years. All told, Barnes spent 1136 regular season games in an NHL uniform over the course of 16 seasons.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the Captain’s “C”. The game wear on this size 54 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. On the back between the player numbers is a beautiful black sharpie signature in Barnes’ own hand. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Buffalo Sabres game worn jersey tagging.
