This road burgundy air-knit gamer by Koho was worn by Rob Blake during the 2001-02 NHL season. The Los Angeles Kings selected Blake in the 4th round of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. After playing his award laden college hockey at Bowling Green State University, Blake made his NHL debut in 1989-90 with the Los Angeles Kings where he played for 14 of his 20 NHL seasons. He would also represent the Colorado Avalanche and San Jose Sharks. Rob became one of the best defensemen of his generation and was awarded the Norris Trophy in 1997-98. His first and only Stanley Cup was won in 2001 with the Avalanche. Blake scored 240 goals and 777 points to go along with 1679 PIMS. Blake played in 7 NHL All Star Games and was four times a 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star. On the international stage, Blake represented Team Canada in the World Championships, the inaugural 1996 World Cup of Hockey and in three Olympics. In fact, Blake earned the honor of best defenseman at the 1998 Olympics as well as the 1997 World Championships. Blake was deservingly inducted to the Hockey Hall of Fame in the class of 2014.

The game wear on this 3rd set size 58 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes, stitch pops, a salted fight strap and inner pilling. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Colorado Avalanche game worn jersey and set tagging. The Avalanche were the defending Stanley Cup Champs when Blake took to the ice during the 2001-02 season. He netted 16 Goals and 40 assists for 56 Points, earning 2nd Team NHL All Star honors and a spot in the 2002 NHL All Star Game. Colorado went to the brink of the Stanley Cup Finals in their effort to repeat and Blake added 6 Goals and 12 points in 20 playoff games that memorable spring. A nice offering worn by this Hall of Famer that sports the coveted letter of honor.
