This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Nicklas Lidstrom during his award laden 2001-02 NHL season. The Detroit Red Wings selected Lidstrom in the 3rd round of the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. This native of Vasteras, Sweden made his NHL debut in 1991-92 with the Red Wings where he played his entire 20-year NHL career. During that time, Lidstrom scored 264 goals, added 878 assists and totaled 1142 points. He retired with the 2nd most playoff games played in NHL history with 263, scoring 54 goals, 129 assists and 183 points. Nicklas is a four-time Stanley Cup Champion. Also to his credit are an incredible 7 Norris Trophies, a Conn Smythe Trophy, 11 All Star Game appearances and 12 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star honors. Internationally, Lidstrom represented Team Sweden in the World Championships, the 1991 Canada Cup, the 1996 and 2004 World Cup and four Olympics. Lidstrom was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame on his first ballot with the class of 2015.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this backup set size 52 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, inner pilling and three team-sewn repairs. Affixed to the inside hem is the official Detroit Red Wings game worn jersey and set tagging. Lidstrom wore this sweater during one of his finest seasons. He was named 1st Team NHL All Star, played in the NHL All Star Game, won the second Norris Trophy of his career and helped lead Detroit to their third Stanley Cup where he won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP. A terrific offering, complete with the letter of honor that was worn by this Hall of Famer during the prime of the Red Wings Championship era, choice! This jersey will be accompanied by a Red Wings team letter.
