This burgundy air-knit gamer by Koho was worn by Eric Messier during the 2001-02 NHL season. This undrafted rearguard began his NHL career with Colorado during the 1996-97 campaign. Eric spent 7 seasons on the Avs blueline and was part of the 2001 Stanley Cup Championship team. After leaving Colorado, Messier spent a final season with the Florida Panthers before retiring.
The game wear on this 2nd set size 58 alternate consists of stick and slash marks, a good many board burns, board paint transfer and inner pilling. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Colorado Avalanche game worn jersey and set tagging. This jersey will be accompanied by an Avalanche team letter.
