Description
2001-02 Chris Drury Avalanche Game Worn Jersey - Team Letter
Lot #248

This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Chris Drury during the 2001-02 NHL season. Drury was a 3rd round draft pick by the Quebec Nordiques in 1994. After graduating from Boston University where Chris captured the 1997-98 Hobey Baker Award, Drury began his NHL career with the Colorado Avalanche in 1998. He played in Colorado for 4 seasons before a year in Calgary and more recently several seasons in Buffalo and New York. Chris is now the captain of the Rangers. Drury won his first Stanley Cup in 2001 with the Avalanche. He won the Calder trophy as rookie of the year in 1999 and has represented Team USA in numerous international competitions including the Olympic Games.

Sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The sleeves have been custom shortened by the team. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Colorado Avalanche game worn jersey tagging. Solid game use exists with this sweater absolutely being littered with stick marks all over the body and sleeves. In addition, there is a smattering of board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and fine inner pilling. An outstanding example which exemplifies this wingers style of play. This jersey will be accompanied by an Avalanche team letter.
