This 2000 North Dakota NCAA Championship ring comes from the collection of Lee Davidson. A signed letter from Mr. Davidson will accompany your purchase.
This beautiful 10K gold Championship ring was given to Lee Davidson for being part of the 2000 NCAA Champion North Dakota Fighting Sioux. The Sioux finished the 1999-00 season with a 31-8-5 record. They beat Niagara in the West Regional Finals, Maine in the Semi-Finals and Boston College in the Finals to win the Championship. North Dakota was led by All-American’s Karl Goerhing and Jeff Panzer as well as future NHLers Ryan Bayda, Mike Commodore and Lee Goren.
Lee Davidson spent 4 years playing for the Fighting Sioux from 1986-87 through 1989-90 and was a member of their 1986-87 NCAA Championship team. He was drafted by the Washington Capitals in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. Davidson played mostly in the AHL and IHL, spending his final season, 1998-99, in Europe. He then joined North Dakota again after retiring and was an assistant coach on the 1999-00 squad.
