This white mesh jersey by Adidas was game worn by J.R. Redmond during the 2000 NFL season. After a star-studded college career at Arizona State, Redmond was drafted by the New England Patriots in the 3rd round of the 2000 NHL Draft. Redmond played three seasons in New England before finishing his career with two seasons in Oakland. Redmond was a member of the 2001 Patriots Super Bowl team and was instrumental in the game winning drive when the Patriots offense got the ball with 1:21 left in regulation after the St. Louis Rams had just tied the game at 17-17. With 41 seconds left in the game and the Patriots on their own 30-yard line, Redmond caught a 3-yard check-down from Tom Brady, dodged a tackler for the first down and dragged a second tackler to the sidelines to get out of bounds and stop the clock with 41 seconds left. The clock stoppage allowed the Patriots to keep the drive alive which led to a victory on a Adam Vinatieri field goal. Charlie Weiss, the Patriots offensive coordinator, said the Patriots would have played for overtime had Redmond not gotten the first down or stopped the clock.
