2000 Dan Blackburn Kootenay Ice Game Worn Jersey
Lot #285

This blue knit gamer by Bauer was worn by Dan Blackburn during the 1999-00 or the 2000-01 WHL season. The New York Rangers selected Blackburn in the 1st round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. This Montreal native played two seasons of junior hockey between the pipes in the WHL where he represented the Kootenay Ice. Dan was named the Canadian Hockey League’s Goalie of the year in 2001. Blackburn made his NHL debut in 2001-02 with the Rangers where he played for two seasons. Dan suffered a serious shoulder injury during training camp the following year and was eventually forced into pre-mature retirement.

The game wear on this size 58 Goalie cut sweater consists of stick and puck marks and some nice inner pilling. A beautiful black sharpie signature resides on the right breast in Blackburn’s own hand. A nice offering from this former CHL Goalie of the year and 10th overall draft choice by the New York Rangers.
