2000-02 Paul Kariya Anaheim Mighty Ducks Game Worn Jersey
Lot #96
This road purple air-knit gamer by Koho was worn by Paul Kariya circa the 2000-02 NHL seasons. Kariya won the Hobey Baker Award while with the University of Maine and was selected 4th overall in the 1993 NHL entry draft by the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. Paul spent his first 9 seasons with the Ducks before playing for a year in Colorado, two with Nashville and finally three with the St. Louis Blues. To his credit are 2 Lady Byng Trophies, which is awarded to the player who best exemplifies sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability. Paul was 5-times a 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star and played in 7 NHL All Star games. During his last season, Kariya joined the 400-goal club, ending his career with 402. He registered exactly a point per game during his NHL career with 989 total. Kariya is a member of the 50-goal club and twice scored better than 100-points in a season. On the international stage Kariya represented Team Canada’s National Team, partook in the World Championships and played in 2 Olympics.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the Captain’s “C”. The game wear on this size 52 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, significant bloodstains and inner pilling. On the back player number is a beautiful black sharpie signature in Kariya’s own hand. A fantastic example, complete with the coveted letter of honor and donned by the face of the Might Ducks franchise.
