Ziggy made his NHL debut with a 5-game stint in 1993-94 and spent his first 6 seasons with the Islanders becoming the team’s premiere goal scorer with consecutive season totals of 43, 48 and 45 spanning 1995-1998. Palffy next spent five years with the LA Kings and then one final season with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2005-06 before returning to Slovakia where he spent the last handful of years of his playing career. Ziggy played in three NHL All Star Games and represented Slovakia in numerous World Championships, the inaugural World Cup of Hockey and three Olympics.
