This road red air-knit gamer by Koho was worn by Ryan Vandenbussche during the 2000-01 NHL season. Vandenbussche was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, but was never able to crack the Leafs NHL lineup. He began his NHL career in 1996-97 with the New York Rangers, where he played for parts of 2 seasons before a deal sent him to the Chicago Blackhawks. Ryan suited up for the Hawks beginning in 1997-98 and represented them through the 2003-04 season, 7 years in all. His last NHL season was spent with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2005-06. Vandenbussche was an aggressive winger who loved to mix things up. In 310 NHL games he scored merely 10 goals and 20 points while ringing up 702 PIMS.

The 2000-01 season saw Vandenbussche play in 64 games and accumulate a career high 146 PIMS. Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the Chicago Blackhawks 75-year anniversary patch. Removed from the left breast is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The sleeves on this jersey have been custom shortened to Vandenbussche’s specs. The game wear on this 2nd set size 56 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. Fight abuse is readily evident as the entire neckline is stretched out and is riddled with stitch pops. Also worthy of mention is a custom fight strap with well-tarnished snaps.
