This home white knit gamer by SP was worn by Rob Tallas during the 2000-01 IHL season, the last for the IHL. This Edmonton native made his NHL debut in 1995-96 with the Boston Bruins where he tended Goal for five seasons. Tallas played his 6th and final NHL season in 2000-01 with the Chicago Blackhawks. This Goalie also spent part of 7 seasons in the AHL while also playing a couple of seasons in Europe. After retiring, Tallas became the Goalie Coach for the Florida Panthers a role he has served in for the past 13 seasons.
Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the 2001 Turner Cup Championship patch. Sewn above is the sponsorship patch. The game wear on this size 58 Goalie cut sweater consists of some stick and puck marks, goal post paint transfer and pilling. The 2000-01 season saw the Wolves attempt to repeat as Turner Cup Champions in the IHL’s final season. Chicago trekked back to the Finals only to fall to the Orlando Solar Bears. Tallas split his time in 2000-01 between the Chicago Blackhawks, Norfolk Admirals and the Chicago Wolves. A nice Turner Cup patched example worn during this Goalie’s last NHL season.
