2000-01 Paul Kruse Chicago Wolves Game Worn Jersey – “2001 Turner Cup Championship”
Lot #393

This white knit gamer by SP was worn by Paul Kruse during the 2000-01 IHL regular season and Turner Cup playoffs. The Calgary Flames selected Kruse in the 4th round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. Kruse made his NHL debut in 1990-91 with the Flames where he played for 7 seasons before moving on to represent the New York Islanders, Buffalo Sabres and San Jose Sharks. All told this enforcer spent 11 seasons roaming NHL rinks and creating havoc. In 423 games played, Kruse racked up 1074 PIMS.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the 2001 Turner Cup Championship patch. Sewn above is the sponsorship patch. The game wear on this size 56 sweater is solid and consists of numerous stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, fraying, exterior sleeve pilling and fine inner pilling. The 2000-01 season saw the Wolves attempt to repeat as Turner Cup Champions in the IHL’s final season. Chicago trekked back to the Finals only to fall to the Orlando Solar Bears. Kruse for his efforts played in 71 regular season games and another 16 in the playoffs, notching 25 points and 202 PIMS. A well-worn patched example by this former NHL enforcer and hailing from the final games of the IHL.
