This home white air-knit gamer by CCM and Elite Sportswear was worn by Patrick Cote during the 2000-01 NHL season, his last in the NHL. The Dallas Stars selected Cote in the 2nd round of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. This LaSalle, PQ native made his NHL debut in 1995-96 with the Stars where he played for three seasons before joining the Nashville Predators for a couple of years. Cote played his final NHL season in 2000-01 with the Edmonton Oilers. This enforcer set a single season career best 242 PIMS in 1998-99 with the Nashville Predators.
The game wear on this 1st set size 58 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer and inner pilling. Fight abuse is readily evident with washed-out bloodstaining, a heavily pilled inner collar and a torn and repaired front collar stretching downwards towards the crest. Shown above are some beautiful photo matches of Cote squaring off against Bob Probert while wearing this exact jersey during the 2000-01 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. Sewn alongside is the official Edmonton Oilers game worn jersey and set tagging. Cote wore this sweater during his last-ever NHL fight; the last of many classic donnybrooks against one of the all-time great NHL heavyweights that resulted in the aforementioned torn front collar. A tremendous photo matched enforcer’s jersey.
