2000-01 Orlando Solar Bears Norm Maracle Game Worn Jersey Alternate Turner Cup Championship Season Turner Cup MVP
Lot #436
This purple knit alternate gamer by Bauer was worn by Norm Maracle during the 2000-01 Turner Cup winning season. The Detroit Red Wings selected Maracle in the 5th round of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. This Belleville native made his NHL debut in 1997-98 with the Detroit Red Wings. Maracle spent two seasons with Detroit before completing his five-year NHL career with the Atlanta Thrashers. Maracle famously led the Orlando Solar Bears to the Turner Cup Championship in the final IHL game for the franchise, capturing Turner Cup MVP honors in the process. Norm went on to finish his playing career in Europe, retiring in 2012.

The game wear on this size 56 alternate consists of stick, slash and puck marks, cuff pilling and inner pilling. On the back player number is a beautiful black sharpie signature in Maracle’s own hand. A beautiful example from Norm’s only season with the Solar Bears that saw him lead the club to the Turner Cup Championship while winning MVP honors in the process.
