This black alternate air-knit gamer by Koho was worn by Janne Laukkanen during the 2000-01 NHL season. The Quebec Nordiques selected Laukkanen in the 8th round of the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. This native of Lahti, Finland made his NHL debut with Quebec in 1994-95. Janne played briefly for Colorado during their Stanley Cup winning season before beginning a 5-year run with the Ottawa Senators. Laukkanen next spent parts of 4 seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins and finished his career with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2002-03.
The game wear on this alternate set size 54 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and fine inner pilling. A nice well-worn example that featured the return of the Skating Penguin to Pittsburgh. This jersey will be accompanied by a Penguins team letter.
