Description
2000-01 Georges Laraque Edmonton Oilers Game Worn Jersey – Team Letter
Lot #76
This road blue air-knit gamer by Koho and Elite Sportwear was worn by Georges Laraque during the 2000-01 NHL season. The Edmonton Oilers selected Laraque in the 2nd round of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. This Montreal native made his NHL debut in 1997-98 with the Oilers where he skated for 8 seasons before moving on to represent the Coyotes, Penguins and Canadiens. All told this enforcer played in 12 seasons, encompassing 695 games and racked up 1126 PIMS.

The game wear on this 2nd set size 58 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, pilling both inside and out along with some nice team-sewn repair work as well as a torn and re-stitched front collar. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Edmonton Oilers game worn jersey and set tagging. A well-worn example, donned by this tough guy during a career best 13-goal and 29-point season that also saw the enforcer rack up 148 PIMS. This jersey will be accompanied by an Oilers team letter.
