Description
2000-01 Dale Purinton New York Rangers Game Worn Jersey - Rookie - "75-year anniversary" - Team Letter
Lot #207

This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Dale Purinton during the 2000-01 NHL season, his rookie year. The Rangers drafted Purinton in the 5th round of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. This Fort Wayne Indiana native joined the Rangers organization in 1997-98 and remained with them for about a decade. Dale began in their system with the AHL’s Hartford Wolfpack, a team he would skate with over the course of 6 different seasons. During that time he played in 215 games and amassed a mind-boggling 1240 PIMS! His career high of 415 PIMS came in 1999-00 in only 62 games with Hartford. It wasn’t until 2000-01 that Purinton cracked the Rangers lineup. He would skate on Broadway for parts of 5 seasons where he became an instant fan favorite and one of the league’s most feared fighters. In 181 games as a New York Ranger, Purinton accumulated 578 PIMS and plenty of sore knuckles.

Sewn to the right shoulder of this gamer is the New York Rangers 75-year anniversary patch. The game wear on this rookie sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, inner pilling, a well used fight strap and a couple of team-sewn repairs. Sewn to the inside hem is the official New York Rangers game worn jersey tagging. This jersey will be accompanied by a Rangers team letter.
