Description
2000-01 Brian Campbell Rochester Americans Game Worn Jersey
Lot #230
This red, white and blue stars and bars knit gamer by SP was worn by Brian Campbell during the 2000-01 AHL season. The Buffalo Sabres selected Capmbell in the 6th round of the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. He began his NHL career in 1999-00 with Buffalo and remained with the club for 8 seasons before a deadline deal sent him to San Jose in 2007-08. That off-season Campbell signed on with the Chicago Blackhawks where he spent 3 years before signing with the Florida Panthers his team of the past four seasons. Campbell was a 2nd Team NHL All Star in 2008 and he played in 3 consecutive NHL All Star games from 2007-09 and more recently another in 2012, the year he captured the Lady Byng Trophy. Most importantly, Campbell helped lead the Hawks to a deep playoff run in his first season with the club and then was part of the magical run as Chicago won the Stanley Cup in 2010 breaking one of sports’ longest droughts.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the sponsorship patch. The game wear on this size 54 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. A nice minor league offering that coincided with the start of Campbell’s NHL career.
