This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Adam Deadmarsh during the 2000-01 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Quebec Nordiques selected Deadmarsh in the 1st round of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. After spending his rookie season of 1994-95 with the Nords, the team transferred to Colorado the following year. It was during that season that the Avalanche won their first Stanley Cup title, and Deadmarsh was no doubt a big component. Adam tallied 17 points and added some much needed grit as evidenced by his 25 PIMS as the Avs steamrolled to the 1996 Stanley Cup Championship. Deadmarsh would spend parts of 6 seasons with Colorado before joining the LA Kings in 2000-01. He spent his remaining two-plus years in the NHL with LA before announcing his retirement. On the international stage, Deadmarsh played a key role in Team USA’s victory in the thrilling 1996 World Cup of Hockey and has played in the World Championships and in two Olympics.
The game wear on this Playoff set size 58 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and a team-sewn repair. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Deadmarsh wearing this exact jersey during the 2000-01 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Los Angeles Kings game worn jersey and set tagging. The Kings equipment man has added his initials to the tag in silver sharpie. A well-worn photo matched offering from Deadmarsh’s first season in LA.
