This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Todd Gill during the 1999-00 NHL season. The Toronto Maple Leafs selected Gill in the 2nd round of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft. This Brockville, ONT native spent the first 12 years of a 19-year NHL career with Toronto. Todd would later go on to represent the Sharks, Blues, Red Wings, Coyotes, Avalanche and the Blackhawks before retiring after 1007 NHL games played. During that time, this feisty defenseman racked up 1214 PIMS. Gill was part of the Leafs defense during their back-to-back runs to the Conference Finals in 1993 and 1994 and will forever be associated with those exciting Maple Leafs squads and remembered for his overtime winner in 1994 against the Blackhawks.
Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the year 2000 patch. The sleeves on this gamer have been shortened for Gill by the team. The game wear on this playoff set size 56 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, collar sweat stains, inner pilling and more than a half-dozen team-sewn repairs. On the inside hem is the official Detroit Red Wings game worn jersey and set tagging. A nice patched example worn by this 19-year NHL veteran.
