1999-00 Roberto Luongo Lowell Lock Monsters Game Worn Jersey Rookie
Lot #224
This home white air- knit gamer by Bauer was worn by Roberto Luongo during the 1999-00 AHL season, his rookie year. The New York Islanders selected Luongo with the 4th overall pick in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. This Montreal native spent one season on Long Island before being traded to the Florida Panthers. Following five years with Florida, Luongo joined the Vancouver Canucks for an 8-season stint that saw him carve out his stake as one of the NHL’s premiere netminders. Luongo was then dealt back to the Panthers prior to the deadline in 2014 where he spent the last five seasons of his career. Roberto is the 3rd winningest Goalie in NHL history with 489 Wins. Luongo played in five NHL All Star games, was twice named 2nd Team NHL All Star and was the winner of the 2010-11 Jennings Trophy. In 2011, he led the Canucks to game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals on the strength of four playoff shutouts. Not to be forgotten was his stellar performance in leading Team Canada to the 2010 Olympic Gold Medal. Luongo represented Team Canada in numerous World Championships, the World Cup of Hockey and three Olympics that include his stellar 2010 Gold Medal winning performance.

The game wear on this size 58 sweater is solid and consists of stick and puck marks, plenty of material pulls and nice pilling. A terrific offering hailing from this future Hall of Famer’s 26 game minor league stint from his rookie season.
