This road red air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Norm Maracle during the 1999-00 NHL season. The Detroit Red Wings selected Maracle in the 5th round of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. He spent a handful of seasons honing his craft with Adirondack before joining the Red Wings NHL squad. After only 2 seasons in Detroit that included the 1998 Stanley Cup, Norm joined the Atlanta Thrashers in 1999-00. He spent parts of 3 years playing in Atlanta, his final NHL stop. Maracle has spent most of the past decade playing overseas in Russia, Germany and Austria.
Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the year 2000 NHL patch. The game wear on this size 58 goalie cut sweater is on the lighter side and consists of some stick and puck marks and pilling. Also worthy of mention is some undetermined greenish staining on the left sleeve, much of which appears as puck marks to the untrained eye thanks to the dark coloration of this gamer. The 1999-00 season was the first for this short-lived franchise. Maracle stood between the pipes 32 times during that inaugural season, a fact that should add plenty of historic value to this gamer as the years move by.
