1999-00 Milan Hejduk Colorado Avalanche Game Worn Jersey - 2nd NHL Season - Photo Match
Lot #175

This home white air-knit gamer by Pro Player was worn by Milan Hejduk during the 1999-00 NHL season, his sophomore year. The Quebec Nordiques selected Hejduk in the 4th round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. This Czech native and gifted winger was a consistent scoring threat throughout his 14-year NHL career, which was all spent with the Colorado Avalanche. During the 2002-03 season, Hejduk captured the Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy as the NHL’s leading goal scorer as he lit the lamp 50 times. Milan also captured the Bud Ice Plus-Minus Award that season with a +52. Hejduk was a 2nd team NHL All Star in 2003 and has played in 3 NHL All Star games in his career. Hejduk was Captain of the Avalanche and ranks respectively on their all-time scoring lists with 375 Goals and 805 Points during his 1020 game NHL career. When this Stanley Cup winner retired, he was the last remaining player on the team’s roster to have been drafted by the Quebec Nordiques.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the year 2000 patch. The game wear on this 3rd set size 56 sweater is solid and consists of numerous stick and slash marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Hejduk wearing this exact jersey during the 1999-00 season. Hejduk struck for 36 goals and added 36 assists while wearing this sweater during his 2nd NHL season. Fantastic sophomore season photo matched example from this 3-time NHL All Star and NHL goal-scoring champion.
