1999-00 Jonas Hoglund Toronto Maple Leafs Game Worn Jersey – “Toronto All Star Game” - Career Best 29-Goal Season - Photo Match
Lot #138

This road blue air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Jonas Hogland during the 1999-00 NHL season. The Calgary Flames selected Hoglund in the 10th round of the 1992 NHL Entry Draft. This native of Karlstad, Sweden spent a number of years playing in the Swedish Elite League prior to making his NHL debut in 1996-97 with the Flames. Jonas next went on to represent the Montreal Canadiens for a couple of seasons before finishing up his 7-year NHL career with the Toronto Maple Leafs for parts of four season. Incidentally, all 7 of Hoglund’s NHL seasons were with Canadian teams. After leaving the NHL in 2003, Jonas returned to Europe and played for another half dozen seasons.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the year 2000 patch. Sewn directly above is the Toronto 2000 All Star Game patch. The game wear on this 2nd set size 58 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and a couple of handfuls of team-sewn repairs. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Hoglund wearing this exact jersey during the 1999-00 NHL season. Hoglund struck for a career best 29 goals and 56 points while wearing this sweater during road games in 1999-00. A well-worn double-patched photo matched example.
