Jeff broke onto the scene with the Islanders in 1988-89 and spent a couple of seasons with the team before joining the San Jose Sharks where he spent 2 more years. Hackett joined the Chicago Blackhawks in 1993-94 and spent the next 5+ seasons with the club. During that span, Jeff put up some terrific statistical seasons that included consecutive GAA’s of 2.38, 2.40, 2.16 and a 2.20 in 1997-98 while playing in a career best 58 games. Early in the 1998-99 season, the Hawks and Habs pulled off a blockbuster that had Hackett and Weinrich going to Montreal in exchange for Thibault and Manson. Jeff would spend most of the next 5 seasons with the Canadiens where, in his early years with the club, he continued his strong play between the pipes before eventually finishing his career with stints in Boston and Philadelphia.
Hackett played in 56 games for Montreal in 1999-00 and posted 23 Wins, 7 ties, 3 shutouts and a 2.40 GAA. Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the year 2000 NHL patch. The game wear on this size 58 goalie cut sweater consists of stick and puck marks, burns, pulls and areas of pilling.
