Description
1999-00 Guy Carbonneau Dallas Stars Game Worn Jersey – Team Letter
Lot #121

This road green air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Guy Carbonneau during the 1999-00 NHL season. The Montreal Canadiens selected Carbonneau in the 3rd round of the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. Guy made his NHL debut in 1980-81 with Les Habitants and spent the first 13 years of his 19-year, 1318-game NHL career with Montreal. Following two Stanley Cup titles with the Canadiens, Carbonneau spent a season with the St. Louis Blues before joining the Dallas Stars where he spent the final five years of his storied career. During his final two years with the Stars, Carbonneau made back-to-back trips to the Stanley Cup Finals and skated away with his 3rd Stanley Cup ring. In the tradition of Bob Gainey before him, Carbonneau took over the reigns as the NHL’s best defensive forward and was so recognized with three Frank J. Selke Trophies spanning 1988 to 1992. Carbonneau just became one of the newest Hockey Hall of Famers, being inducted this year.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the year 2000 patch. The game wear on this 1st set size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and a couple of team-sewn repairs. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Dallas Stars game worn jersey tagging. A well-worn year 2000 patched offering hailing from the last year of Guy’s accomplished 19-year NHL career. This jersey will be accompanied by a Stars team letter.
